Terms of Service
Last updated: October 15, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Chain Trends Co LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Wick", "we", "us"), about your use of Wick, the newsletter software at joinwick.com and its subdomains (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for a business, you agree on its behalf.
1. Who can use Wick
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You are responsible for your account, for keeping access to your email inbox secure (we sign you in with emailed links, not passwords), and for everything done through your account.
2. What Wick does
Wick helps you start and run email newsletters. It uses artificial intelligence ("AI") to suggest names, pages, emails, issues and plans; hosts your newsletter's pages; collects sign-ups; sends your issues; and, if you choose, lets readers pay you and lets you add partner offers. We may change, add or remove features over time. If we remove a core feature you paid for, we will tell you in advance.
3. Your license and plan
Platinum. Joinwick Platinum gives one account lifetime access to the Platinum feature set, for as long as Wick operates the Service. "Lifetime" means the life of the Service, not your lifetime or ours.
Fair use. Each account includes up to 2,500 confirmed subscribers and 30,000 emails per month in total across its newsletters, and up to three newsletters. Going above these limits requires credits (sold in blocks) or an extra newsletter slot, at the prices shown in the app. We may pause sending that goes over your limits until you add credits.
Payment plans. If you buy Platinum in installments, you agree to make every scheduled payment. If a payment fails and is not recovered, or you cancel before the plan is paid off, your account is paused (read-only). Contact us at support@joinwick.com to settle the remaining balance and restore access. Prices and plan terms are those shown at checkout. Purchases of Platinum are processed by our payment partners; their terms also apply.
If Wick ever shuts down. We will give at least 90 days' notice and let you export your subscribers and content before the Service ends.
4. Your content and your readers
You own your content. You keep all rights to the newsletters, pages, images and other material you create or upload ("Your Content"), including anything the AI drafts for you once you publish it. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display, send and process Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you, and to show it publicly where you publish it.
You are responsible for your list. You may only email people who asked to receive your newsletter. You are the sender of your emails and responsible for following the laws that apply to them, including anti-spam laws such as CAN-SPAM, CASL and GDPR. Wick adds an unsubscribe link and your mailing address footer to every issue; do not remove or hide them.
AI output. AI suggestions can be wrong, out of date or similar to other people's content. Review everything before you publish or send it. You are responsible for what you publish.
Imports. Lists you import are reviewed by us before anything is sent to them. We may refuse a list that looks purchased, scraped or otherwise collected without consent.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Wick to:
- send spam, or email people who did not opt in, including purchased, rented or scraped lists;
- send content that is illegal, deceptive, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes anyone's rights;
- make false or misleading claims, including guaranteed income, health or medical claims;
- distribute malware, phishing, or anything designed to harm people or systems;
- impersonate anyone, or hide who is sending your newsletter;
- interfere with the Service, test its security without permission, or get around its limits;
- resell or provide the Service to others as your own product without our written permission.
Every issue is checked before it is sent. We may hold an issue for review, pause sending, limit how fast new newsletters send, or stop sending to addresses that bounce or complain, to protect you, your readers and our ability to deliver email for everyone.
6. Getting paid by your readers
If you turn on paid subscriptions or tips, you connect your own Stripe account. Readers pay you directly through Stripe, and you are the seller to your readers: you are responsible for your prices, your promises to readers, your refunds to them, and any taxes. Wick charges a platform fee (currently 8%) on each reader payment, taken automatically by Stripe, in addition to Stripe's own fees. Stripe's terms apply to your Stripe account.
7. Partner offers and commissions
If you add partner (affiliate) offers to your newsletter, Wick tracks clicks and conversions through its own links and shows a "(partner link)" label and a disclosure line by default. Commissions move from pending to confirmed once the partner confirms them, and are paid out from confirmed balances above the minimum shown in the app, to your connected payout account. Partners may reverse commissions (for example, for refunds or invalid activity); reversed amounts are not paid or are deducted. You must follow each partner's rules and the FTC's endorsement guidelines.
8. Our rights in Wick
Wick, its software, design, brand and everything we provide (other than Your Content) belong to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Wick at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access, with or without notice, if you break these Terms, if your account puts others or our sending reputation at risk, if a payment is reversed or disputed, or if required by law. If we end your access without cause, we will let you export your subscribers and content first. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability and disputes) survive termination.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every email will be delivered, or or that you will reach any particular number of readers or results.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Wick and its owners, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if greater.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold Wick harmless from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from Your Content, your emails, your dealings with your readers or partners, or your breach of these Terms or the law.
13. Disputes and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@joinwick.com so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. Any dispute that is not resolved will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer laws of your country of residence.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
