Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Chain Trends Co LLC ("Wick", "we", "us") collects through Wick at joinwick.com and its subdomains, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers two groups of people: members (people who create newsletters with Wick) and readers (people who sign up for a member's newsletter).

For readers, the member who runs the newsletter decides what to send and is responsible for their list; Wick processes reader information on the member's behalf to run their newsletter.

1. What we collect

Members

  • Account details: your email address, name, profile photo and bio if you add them, and sign-in history (time, device type, approximate location from IP address).
  • Newsletter content: the sentence you start from, your answers, the pages, issues, images and settings you create, and what the AI drafts for you.
  • Purchases: what you bought and when. Card and bank details are handled by our payment partners (AutoPayments and its payment processors for the Wick program, and Stripe for in-app purchases and reader payments). We never see or store full card numbers.
  • Payout details: if you turn on paid subscriptions or partner payouts, your connected Stripe account identifier and payout status.
  • Usage: pages you visit in the app, features you use, and error logs, to keep the Service working.

Readers

  • Email address, sign-up time and the page or form used, and which newsletters you joined.
  • Email activity: whether an issue was delivered, opened (using a small tracking image), and which links were clicked (using tracking links on the newsletter's own address), plus bounces, spam complaints and unsubscribes.
  • If you pay a member: your subscription status. Payment details are handled by Stripe on the member's account.
  • Technical data used to prevent abuse of sign-up forms (IP address, browser information and a bot check by Cloudflare Turnstile).

2. How we use it

  • To provide the Service: build and host newsletters, send issues, count subscribers, process purchases and payouts, and show reports.
  • To protect deliverability and security: detect spam, bots, bounces and complaints; keep suppression lists so people who bounced or complained are not emailed again by that newsletter; enforce our Terms.
  • To communicate with members: sign-in links, receipts, account notices and product updates. You can turn off non-essential emails in Settings.
  • To improve Wick: understand which features are used, fix problems and make the AI suggestions better. We do not use readers' personal information to train AI models.
  • To meet legal obligations: tax, accounting, and responding to lawful requests.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. AI processing

When you use AI features, the text needed to produce a draft (for example, your newsletter topic and voice notes) is sent to AI model providers through OpenRouter. These providers process it to return a result. Do not include sensitive personal information in your prompts.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run Wick, under contracts that limit their use of it:

  • Amazon Web Services (email sending)
  • Supabase (database and sign-in)
  • Cloudflare (hosting, storage, security and bot checks)
  • Stripe (in-app payments, reader payments and payouts)
  • AutoPayments and its payment processors (Wick program purchases)
  • OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to (AI drafts)
  • Partner and affiliate networks, which receive a click identifier (never a reader's email) when someone clicks a partner link

We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (with notice to you).

Readers' email addresses are shared with the member whose newsletter they joined. If a reader ticks a recommended newsletter when signing up, their email is shared with that newsletter too.

5. Cookies

We use cookies that are needed for the Service to work: keeping you signed in, protecting forms against fraud (CSRF and bot checks), and remembering a purchase in progress on this browser. We do not use advertising cookies. Newsletters include a tracking image and tracked links to measure opens and clicks, as described above.

6. How long we keep it

  • Account and newsletter data: while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except what we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons.
  • After a refund: the account becomes read-only and you can export your data for 30 days; after that, personal content is deleted.
  • Reader data: for as long as the member keeps the reader on their list. Unsubscribes and suppression records are kept so the person is not emailed again.
  • Logs and email events: up to 24 months, then deleted or aggregated.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Readers can unsubscribe from any newsletter in one click, using the link in every issue.
  • Members can update profile details in Settings and export subscribers and content.
  • Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email support@joinwick.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires. Readers may be directed to the member who runs the newsletter for requests about that list.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as required by law.

9. International transfers

Wick is operated from the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

10. Children

Wick is not for children. Members must be at least 18, and readers must be at least 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. If a change is material, we will tell members by email or in the app before it takes effect.
